Report of the Immediate Past Regional Sire Archon
November 10, 2007

Report Of The

Immediate Past Regional Sire Archon

James E. Carter, III

Southeast Region

Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity

Southeast Regional Boule

October 26-28, 2007

Winston-Salem, North Carolina

I am indeed grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve the Southeast Region in the capacity of Immediate Past Sire Archon. In this important position, I am able to provide whatever assistance and counsel is needed by the Regional Sire Archon for his success in the performance of his duties as chief executive officer of the region.

I am also available to the Executive Committee as a resource for the continuity of the orderly transition of officers as the administrations turn over the reins of responsibility with the election of new officers every biennium.

During the last biennium, I have consulted with the Regional Sire Archon on numerous occasions and on a myriad of topics. When solicited, I offered advice and made many suggestions so that any mistakes of the past could be corrected or avoided. I also offered advice on continuing and building on the achievements of the previous administrations such that those efforts would be utilized in the ongoing work of the Region.

We have watched, with great interest, the chartering of three new member Boulés, the development of Interest groups in two new locations, and the advancement of our efforts in technology.

We have been in touch with the planning committee of Gamma Kappa Boule in Winston-Salem in offering requested advice on the implementation of the 2007 Regional Boule.

The Southeast Region remains the largest and most active region in the fraternity. This is evident by the member Boulés participating in every facet of Grand Boule Mandates-from expansion, induction of new members, social action programs, Boule Foundation participation, technological advances, Founders Day Programs, scholarship and youth mentoring, health screenings, reclamation, and certainly, our close association with one the other.

As we come to Winston-Salem with the anticipation of yet another great regional meeting, it is our hope that the new administration will experience the wonderful support and well wishes that previous administrations have enjoyed over the past twenty-four years.

Respectfully submitted:

James E. Carter, III
